All You Need Is Love

Some of God's people don't believe in fasting. But we should. We should always be fasting. Its called love. Too many of us believe this; "Jesus did it all, now what's in it for me?" Yes Jesus did it all. Lets's do what the Master taught us; lets think about others and Jesus will take care of this 'me' thing. It couldn't be in better hands. Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you."

Col 3:23 - "And whatsoever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

Isaiah 58:3 -7 - "Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and you see not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul and you take no notice? Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure and exact all your labours. Behold, you fast for strife and debate and to smite with the fist of wickedness; you shall not fast as you do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. Is this such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to just afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast and acceptable day to the Lord?

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness to undo the heavy burdens and to let the oppressed go free and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? When you see the naked that you cover him and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh?" I dare you to take  the time to do an in depth study of the "Be (like Jesus attitudes)". Luke 6:20 - 49.

1 John 3:16, "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But whoso has this world's good, and sees his brother have need and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?" John 13:35 - "By this shall all men know that your are my disciples, if you have love one to another." There are many other scriptures about love. Find them. Be them. The Beatles were right; "All You Need Is Love."

The greatest wealth is the abundance of love. The greatest treasure is to give it all away.

So you see beloved. Its not about you and I. Its about Jesus. "For as He is, so are we in this world". "Christ in you is the hope of Glory. Christ flowing out of you IS the Glory".

Francis Assisi said it this way, "Preach the gospel at all times; and if necessary, use words."

Be Jesus to someone today. Honor Him in it.
